Description

This is my first attempt, this Orion Season,  of this wonderful nebula region in the Orion constellation.  It's actually a lot harder to image than it appears.  The bright star next to the Flame is, Alnitak, which is amazingly, a triple star system.  It is very bright star that emits ultraviolet light to light up, and energize the flame nebula.  It's brightness dominates the surrounding area, which can make it difficult to bring out the more subtle Horse head Nebula.  I was only able to get about 15,  three hundred second images.  I need to go back when it rises earlier for me, so that I can get more data.  Clear Skies!
